Well, my guildies have decided it is time for a new loot system, which stresses me out because it means I am not responsible for coming up with something fair, and easy to maintain and manage. I am not a fan of DKP, because the rich just get richer, but I do understand its purpose…. I am going to have to come up with something though. Currently we are just rolling, and this is really stressing people out with tier 5 gear. Which, is understandable, but it means I have to come up with something better. I guess you guys will be hearing a LOT about it in the upcoming weeks until I have it all sorted out. Anyone have any super cool addons or mods they use?

Coming up with a loot system was one of the most horrible things to do. We discussed options for months, then finally brought the final few to the guild for discussion/vote. We decided to go with a half/min system. You have 2 options with loot. You can bid half your total dkp, if more than 1 person bids half, then the person with the highest dkp total wins, OR you can bid min, which min for us was 15 dkp. If more than 1 person bids min, then those people /roll and highest number wins. System has been working GREAT for us for along time now, and we even use a ingame addon to track/record/make changes to our dkp. I will get you the link when I get home

Sounds like a good idea. We use loot council which works for us but I think we got lucky because I do hear a lot of horror stories about it. Its mostly rolling on loot but we decide who gets to roll based on attendance, gear, recent loot etc.
